It’s been ages since I’ve seen family face to face. Although our province has, once again, initiated a state of lock-down for us all, we drove to see my sisters over the Easter weekend (visiting outside by a campfire with one and taking advantage of the chance to ‘join households’ with the other). It was wonderful. Hover over each photo for captions…

My younger sister loves flowers as much as I do, so on my way to her place I stopped at Loblaws, only to find that there was a long wait to get in the store. In the end I found a beautiful bouquet at a rural garden centre just outside of her city - no line-ups and on day two the rose opened right up, doubling in size!

Yuki, my sister's cat, seems to have accepted us. He used to hide whenever we showed up but now he winks and purrs and even allows us to stroke him once in a while.

My sister never balks at our enormous appetites - she just laughs at our enthusiasm and feeds us well.
