After a year and a half of at-home shifts, I worked, yesterday and today, on site. I feel unusually tired. My head aches a bit. But I am thankful – oh so thankful.
Monday is Thanksgiving in Canada.
This weekend I am thankful for flowers and colourful leaves. For work. For God’s provision. Money in the bank. A house to live in. A loving husband. A wonderful daughter.
I look forward to cooking Seco de Cabrito – a Peruvian stew made with red wine and lots of cilantro.
This summer I’ve learned so much about surrendering control to God. It is good, very good, to be able to rest in His arms, knowing He holds each decision and each loved one close. He can be trusted. With my future and theirs.
What are you thankful for?
