Thank you to those of you who have kindly followed my blog over the past few years! With a return to in person work and a rekindling of my childhood interest in art, I’m spending much more time painting than writing these days. Because of this, I’m transitioning this site, so that it becomes a place for me to share with readers about life in the art studio.

This week, I’ve been working on a picture for an Etsy shopper who came across a tiny painting of mine ( 1st photo below). She requested that I recreate the painting using tones that work with the colour scheme in her living room. I couldn’t resist adding a splash of colour, because, to me, the vibrant colour in traditional Peruvian textiles is so beautiful, it’s a shame to paint it out (2nd painting). The buyer thanked me and politely asked that I stick to the colour scheme she had in mind! (3rd painting). I hope she likes it. 🙂
